Consultations And Second Opinions

Many times you may feel you want a second opinion on your case - or a confidential evaluation. Mr. Gutmacher offers these whether you have retained counsel, or not. In fact, if your attorney approves - Mr. Gutmacher will work as a consultant on the case with your attorney - offering his expertise and suggestions to assist. Generally, there are at least a minimum of ten hours of attorney time involved in such matters, and many times this is exceeded. However, if you are not yet represented by a private attorney or the Public Defender - and are seeking a consultation with Mr. Gutmacher with the actual intent of retaining him as trial counsel - we do charge a consultation fee for a face-to-face meeting with Mr. Gutmacher.

Our preferred procedure is to contact him via email on the email link on this website with a brief description of the problem. Mr. Gutmacher will thereafter personally return the email, and let you know if he can take the case, and if so, about what his fee would be. If that is acceptable - a face-to-face consult can be arranged. Or, you may call the office, any weekday, between 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - and he will be glad to briefly, but personally, discuss such representation with you.
