I posted this on Facebook a couple of weeks ago — that we needed some type of organized response to important legislation in Florida where citizen input would be “critical” I volunteered to take the point on this as follows, so here’s the deal:
If you will agree that you will phone, email, or write your Florida representatives as absolutely needed (ie: your senator, your representative in the House, Attorney General, Governor, and/or Agriculture Commissioner) — I will put you on my email list (ie: “JOIN THE FIGHT”), and only email you if your input is critical on a critical issue. (most likely to prevent “bad” legislation)
To join just put “JOIN THE FIGHT” in your subject line, and email me at: gutlaw@gmail.com. I don’t need or want any additional information, although adding a first and last name somewhere doesn’t hurt.
That’s it. If you like the idea — feel free to spread it around. We literally need hundreds of email addresses to make this effective — but — unlike other organizations — I won’t bother asking you to do anything on stuff that isn’t critical — and likewise, I have a certain amount of insight on the “wording” of bills that none of the others seem to have, and have often screwed up royally on.
It’s up to you.
